My Downtown Family Outing in STL

tags: Arch, Bar, downtown, locust, Restaurant, riverfront, Saint Louis, Tin Can, union station,

St. Louis has a downtown that made of several pockets of areas] We started with the Arch and the kids loved it. I hated it. You have to ride in these egg shaped elevators that seems like tombs for four to me. It's cool from the top, but the ride up and down... miserable. North of Union Station, there's a little area on Locust that is starting to grow into an entertainment district. Tin Can Tavern was the spot we'd hit. It made the trip. The food was great, service friendly, and the beer was COLD! Everyone in a food coma, we decided to call it a day. We didn't make it to the City Museum or Washington Ave like we had planned, but all in all, it was a fun day playing tourist in our own town.
